Graham was the special guest with Paula last night on the Near FM Arts Show singing Wild Is The Wind, Hope There's Someone, All Time Love and also picking a few favourite influences to play on the show too.
"He is the real deal. He is an impeccable, effortless and honest performer. His authentic vocals and ranges are untouched and he is in control of his performances, each one as magnetic as the next. This show was a masterclass in art, music, comedy and drama all rolled into one. Jazz, Blues, Opera and Swing have told their own stories throughout the years defined by the artists who performed them. Graham is taking these genres to another level that is gaining him a more universal audience, thus making him a recognised, contemporary and consummate performer." ...

At Avenue by Nick Munier, Graham will be hosting a Gatsby Themed evening. Paying homage to the Music Hall days of Dietrich, Piaf and Ella while incorporating his own unique take on contemporary artists such as Bowie, Anohni and Sia. To create a sense of occassion embodying the spirit of the 20's, audience members will be encouraged, but not expected, to dress in a style they feel embodies the era. Audience members that get in the spirit will be rewarded with a free signature shot provided by the wonderful Nick Munier and his staff at Avenue.
Graham uses his distinctive, sultry natural alto voice to blend elements of jazz, blues, classical and alternative adult contemporary pop to create a unique experience. His avant-garde, almost vaudevillian, presentation underlies themes of evolution and transformation which define these unique performances which harken back to the seductive decadence of 1920's Weimar Cabaret, coupled with the old school glamour of 1950's Divas and Crooners. With a fast growing reputation at home and abroad, Graham has been hailed as the Vanguard of "Cabaret Noir" an emerging genre of music blending influences from others and known for its dark subjects and emotional impact.
Graham J will be joined on the night by his band Orpheus Blues which includes the all girl Retrospect String Quartet.

Many thanks to Brian Finnegan for allowing me to tell my story of the ups and downs I've experienced so far to get to this wonderfully exciting stage of my life.
It's not long before I play my very own headline show in Nell's Jazz Club in London and I'm already making plans for more gigs in the UK and Ireland.
Many thanks to the good people at Woman's Way Magazine for the interview in this week's issue with Lorraine Keane on the front cover.
"Singer Graham J on grief, illness, losing his voice and finding it once again".
So a slight change but very excited to be playing Nell's Jazz & Blues club on Wednesday 27th April. Such a legend of a venue and having supported my good friend Mary Coughlan there not too long ago, I'm ecstatic to be returning with my own gig and I promise you won't be disappointed. Tickets will be £12 and I will of course be performing my forthcoming debut single "Into My Arms".
